The Kansas Qualifications Based Selection Award was established to recognize outstanding contributions to and support for obtaining the highest level of quality and the greatest public good through the procurement of architectural, engineering, surveying, mapping, and landscape architecture services.

Any public, private, or other individual or group who meets the selection criteria can be nominated by a American Council of Engineering Companies of Kansas member firm. Nominations are to be submitted to the American Council of Engineering Companies of Kansas Board of Directors.

Nominees should have made a significant contribution to promoting the highest quality of services consistent with the requirements of the public in Kansas. The contribution, whether in the form of legislation, policy and regulation, public affairs, advocacy programs, publications, or by example, must embody the commitment to obtaining the highest level of quality and the greatest public good through extended support and promotion of Qualifications Based Selection in the procurement of architectural and engineering services. Nominees mandated by law to use qualifications based selection are eligible.
