November Membership Lunch
Scott King, P.E., KDOT Director of Engineering & Design
Scott King will join us to share an update on two important areas. First, ongoing efforts in the Contracts Section to improve transparency and efficiencies with consulting partners. Second, provide information that will be helpful in our contract process including changes and reminders.
Alex Darby, P.E. Project Manager, Professional Engineering Consultants
Alex will share information on the Lawrence Pallet Shelter Village. The City of Lawrence, in collaboration with Professional Engineering Consultants (PEC), developed a plan for the Pallet Shelter Village to be located in Lawrence on north Michigan. The purpose of the project is to provide temporary housing and access to mobile shower and laundry facilities to residents experiencing homelessness. In addition, there will be spaces onsite for career coaching and mental health services with the ultimate goal of assistance in providing a pathway to permanent housing.

These lunches are where we discuss issues of concern to ACEC of Kansas and the engineering industry. The ACEC of Kansas Board, as always, is interested in getting feedback from you and your attendance at this event affords that opportunity.
